Find our new workshop tent where you will find a 4 part speaker series with our knowledgeable presenters discussing important topic in the LGBTQIA+ community.

12pm: Justin Cascio presents "Stonewall and the Mafia".  Join Justin as he walks us through the interwoven history of the Mafia and the gay rights movement in New York in the 1960's.

1pm: Effie Molina ​from DCF will be here to talk with you about foster care and adoption through DCF.  She will also tell us about her own role in pushing DCF to create guidelines for working with the LGBTQIA+ community.  Effie brings years of experience so take this opportunity ask questions in the open forum!

2pm: James Shultis presents "Mobilizing YOUth Power:  You are the expert of your own life.  Your voice and experiences are important.  Let's talk about how the power and tools you have can help you organize around issues, and make lasting change in your community."  James will also be here to answer any and all questions you may have about advocating for your self and others as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

3pm: Irene Brank, a local author, will join us with her daughter Samantha to talk about her experience as the mother of a trans* child.

All of our presenters will be available to answer your questions during their workshops.

ASL interpretive services will be provided.

Noho Pride's Annual LGBTQ Pride Event, Northampton, MA held each May kicks off the LGBTQ Pride season in New England. Our Pride Day Celebration blasts off with a fantastic, amazing, super high energy parade filled with marching bands, religious groups, GSA's, floats, animals, motorcycles, and more! We march into the Pride festival site where the fun energy continues all day!!


  • Over 30,000 people gather for dancing, eating, shopping, learning, socializing and enjoying the freedom to celebrate who we are.
  • A family friendly atmosphere!
  • We provide a sectioned off Youth Area with lots of  creative, hands on things to do, kids and adults can have fun together! 
  • Food and beverages (beer and wine for the over 21 folks)  are available for purchase.
  • NO CHARGE for being a contingent in our parade, FREE parking at Pride event and FREE entertainment from 12:30pm to 5:00pm! 
  • Our event is driven solely by volunteers. 
  • Please consider helping as a VOLUNTEER 
  • Pride performances on stage are interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing by a crew of qualified ASL interpreters coordinated by Cat Dvar.
